Every Soloma VTOL is designed and manufactured without any components sourced from restricted, sanctioned or high risk countries.
Who is
Soloma Team
We are committed to advancing VTOL technologies that redefine what's possible in mission-critical environments, from defense and surveillance to civilian delivery operations.

is a defence adviser, UAV pilot, and veteran of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who brings frontline experience to the team. He is an expert in GNSS-denied drone flight and navigation techniques, including low-frequency sensors, RF signal sensing, frequency-hopping communications, and night-time operations. He also has a strong background in custom drone avionics and military-grade sensing systems, and is the co-founder of "Gnizdo Ltd" (United Kingdom). As part of the Soloma team project, he will advise and support the development and field testing of GNSS-free navigation hardware, ensuring the system is viable in real-world conditions.

is a hardware and avionics engineer with over four years of experience designing GNSS-denied UAV systems. He specializes in sensor-based navigation and is adept at correcting IMU/INS drift, signal interference, and some experience with magnetic distortion. As part of the Soloma project, he leads the UAV design, custom sensor integration, materials testing, and final platform assembly. His hands-on approach to building drones without satellite navigation ensures the final platform is robust and mission-ready for real-world GNSS-free operations.

Business development and operations lead with experience in scaling early-stage projects from concept to commercial traction. He specialises in building strategic partnerships, identifying market opportunities, and assembling the right teams and resources to deliver complex programmes on time. At Soloma, he drives go-to-market strategy, stakeholder engagement, investor relations, and operational coordination across hardware, software, and AI workstreams — ensuring the company moves at the pace the market requires.

Electrical and structural engineer with experience supporting the production of armored and specialist vehicles in Ukraine. He specialises in vehicle electrical integration, internal structural assembly, insulation, cable management, and the installation of internal modules and support systems within demanding manufacturing environments. At Bogdan Corporation, he contributed to work on platforms including the Bars-8 armored vehicle and Bogdan-2251 medical vehicle, helping deliver reliable internal bay layouts, protected wiring runs, and structural support solutions for mission-ready vehicle builds.

An electrical engineer specialising in UAV hardware integration, flight-controller tuning, and custom microelectronics. With two years of hands-on experience modifying quadcopter, octocopter, and VTOL platforms, she excels at rapid field deployment, sensor calibration, and power-system design. Valentyna often serves as a copilot on live missions, troubleshooting RTL functions and ensuring seamless avionics operation. At Soloma, she leads the hardware integration and testing of UWB modules, magnetometers, and RF receivers — delivering the reliable, battle-worthy electronics that underpin the GNSS-denied navigation solution.

A senior software developer at the University of Cambridge, with extensive experience in software development for both academic and enterprise sectors. He has a proven track record of building high-traffic enterprise applications using a wide range of web technologies. His expertise in distributed system design, API development, containerisation technologies, and modern DevOps practices ensures the robustness and scalability of mission-critical systems. At Soloma, Angus leads the development of the mission planning platform, integrating resource-rich cloud AI with edge AI deployed on UAVs to augment computer vision capabilities and enable autonomous operations.

An embedded software engineer (M.Sc., Czech Technical University) with extensive experience in UAV systems and embedded technologies. He has worked with autopilot platforms such as ArduPilot and communication protocols like MAVLink in developing drone control systems. Serhii is proficient in embedded C/C++ development on STM32 microcontrollers and utilises modern tools like Docker and AWS for development and deployment. His industry experience includes roles at Evolve Dynamics and other engineering firms. At Soloma, he focuses on embedded firmware development, sensor drivers, and swarm communication protocols, ensuring the drone swarm operates reliably even in GNSS-denied environments.

A seasoned software engineer with over 15 years of industry experience, and a track record of delivering complex, high-performance systems from concept to deployment. His past work includes developing route-planning, live GPS tracking, and data analytics platforms for last-mile delivery; physics simulations and agent-based AI in the video game industry; and simulations for manufacturing and industrial safety applications. He contributes to Soloma’s core flight control firmware / EKF, in-flight telemetry, and system integration across the software stack.

A seasoned data and machine learning engineer with extensive experience leading enterprise AI initiatives at KPMG Lighthouse UK. He has built and scaled GenAI-as-a-Service platforms, delivered high-impact AI solutions for financial services, and managed global teams of data scientists, engineers, and designers. At Soloma, he architects and optimises cloud-based and onboard LLM and computer vision pipelines, ensuring real-time semantic guidance and continuous model refinement. His track record of deploying robust, production-grade AI systems makes him instrumental in delivering reliable onboard and ground-station intelligence for GNSS-denied navigation.

Product designer and defence innovation contributor working at the intersection of military operations and technology development in Ukraine. He supported the creation of the Brave1 defence innovation platform and designed the UX for the Legal Navigator product for Pryncyp, improving access to legal guidance for service members. He has also contributed to frontline drone procurement initiatives and worked closely with Ihor Tantsiura on the establishment of one of the first UAV reconnaissance and strike battalions, "Hawk Eye," within the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine, helping shape its early innovation and operational framework.
